Tonight on Saturday Evening Dwell, host Amy Schumer took half in a sketch parodying the favored thriller sequence The Watcher, which debuted on Netflix in October.
The sketch titled “The Looker” noticed Schumer enjoying a suburban mother, with James Austin Johnson as her husband, and Marcello Hernández and Chloe Fineman taking up the roles of her youngsters.
All is regular throughout the household dwelling till Dad walks in with a “unusual” letter he’s discovered slipped underneath the door.
“Dearest new neighbors at 322 Oakridge Boulevard, permit me to introduce myself,” the letter author says in voiceover. “I’m The Looker, and I see the whole lot you do.”
“Is that this some type of sick prank?” asks Schumer.
“I see you’re settling in properly,” The Looker’s letter continues. “Your daughter likes to put in writing in her diary concerning the boy who mows the garden, and your son has been onerous at work training his guitar.”
“Dad? That is creeping me out,” admits Hernández.
“As on your spouse,” says The Looker, “after everybody’s asleep, she goes to the kitchen and eats a whole second dinner. She eats it like a grasping, panicked raccoon, afraid of getting caught.”
Whereas Schumer’s character assures her members of the family that this isn’t the case, The Looker seems to have extra to say, telling Johnson’s character he hopes he’s been having fun with his morning jogs across the neighborhood. “I do know your spouse does,” says The Looker. “After you permit, she will get a snack, activates the TV and pleasures herself to the Property Brothers.”
“Okay,” says Schumer, “that’s not ringing a bell.”
“However he is aware of about my jogs, Carol,” says Johnson.
“And my diary and David’s guitar!” says Fineman.
“I do know!” deadpans Schumer. “That’s why it’s so bizarre that each one my stuff is clearly made up.”
The Looker goes on to say that whereas the lives of Johnson and his family members could seem good, he’s fairly certain they’re not. “Your poor spouse appears to be having bother within the rest room,” the letter reads. “I see her in there, rocking forwards and backwards, making an attempt to make one thing occur. Giving herself little pep talks.
“She will get so pissed off,” The Looker continues, “she’ll go downstairs and blow off steam with extra Property Brothers. Why is she so aroused by that present? Is it the brothers, or is it the property?”
Hernandez then factors out that somebody has downloaded “each episode” of Property Brothers to the household TV, with Fineman observing that solely 5 minutes of every has been watched.
“What the frig?” says Schumer. “So this weirdo snuck into our home and messed with the TV? Okay, now I’m weirded out – formally.”
The Looker goes on to say that he at present noticed the youngsters training a TikTok dance, in addition to Dad worrying about his hairline and mother on her train bike.
